GREENSBURG MAN CHARGED FOR 2024 VEHICLE CRASH

Police say a Greensburg man was intoxicated during a vehicle crash that happened last year.  The Trib reports that 21-year-old John Charles Wallish IV was charged last week with aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, reckless endangerment and related offenses for a crash on March 10th of 2024.  State police say they found Wallish standing near the wrecked car on Marguerite Road just after 6:00 that morning while his passenger was trapped in the car.  Wallish allegedly overcompensated on a bend in the road and rolled the car.  Troopers also said he admitted to drinking at a friend’s house.  A preliminary arraignment and hearing are set for Aug. 18.
