Burrell School District is looking to scale back the costs of the upcoming elementary school renovation project after bids came over budget. The Trib reports that the lowest bid for the Bon Air proposed cafeteria and kitchen addition, and heating and cooling projects, came in at $12.6 million. On the recommendation of the superintendent, the board delayed awarding the contracts and asked their architecture firm to shed $2 to $3 million from the project.
