A Latrobe attorney accused of swindling tens-of-thousands of dollars from a prison inmate is now facing new charges. Police say John Roth connected with an elderly inmate at the Westmoreland County Prison and got them to sign with him on the promise he would get her out of jail. Those documents also gave Roth access to the prisoner’s bank account from which more than 31-thousand dollars was later taken across 14 withdraws. Roth has already been contending with felony charges in that matter but now is also being charged in connection with three others cases where he was reportedly hired to provide legal services and failed to do so.
