ROAD RESURFACING PROJECT UNDERWAY IN WESTMORELAND COUNTY

A road resurfacing project gets underway today in parts of Westmoreland County.  The Trib reports that the $11.3 million project will affect parts of Routes 30 and 130, Pittsburgh Street, Youghiogheny Street and Hancock Avenue.  Work will take place between 7-5 each day from now until late October.  The work is being done by Tresco Paving.  Traffic will be reduced to single lanes in many parts of the project area with flaggers controlling traffic.
