UNITY TOWNSHIP PIZZA SHOP ROBBER SENTENCED

The man who robbed a Unity Township pizza shop was sentenced yesterday in Westmoreland County Court.  The Trib reports that 25-year-old Austin Lewis pleaded guilty in April to two counts of robbery and related misdemeanors in connection with the January, 2024 robbery of the Sugar Shack Pizza and Pastry shop just outside of Latrobe.  Police said he threatened the owner with a large knife and took off with $169 in cash.  Krieger was sentenced to 11 and a half to 23 months in county jail and two years of probation.
