JUDGE DISMISSES FRAUD CASE AGAINST LEECHBURG CONTRACTOR

A judge has dismissed a case of fraud against a Leechburg Contractor saying the prosecution had insufficient evidence.  The Trib reports that 42-year-old Dawayne Redmond was accused of bilking customers in a $59,000 home improvement project in Unity in 2022.  Authorities claimed he took the money, but never completed the project.  In a previous court hearing, Redmond’s accuser testified some work, including chimney demolition, front porch reconstruction, floor framing, deck installation and roof repair was completed.
