MAN AT LIGONIER TOWNSHIP TRAFFIC STOP DIES FROM SELF-INFLICTED GUNSHOT WOUND

A man who was involved in an incident in Ligonier Township on Saturday died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  The Trib reports that police were trying to pull over the unidentified victim near Route 30 and Baywood Road.  When police encountered the man, gunshots were heard.  It was not explained why the man was being pulled over.  Officers did not fire on the suspect, and no shots were fired at law enforcement officers.  No other information was provided.
