GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONIES HELD LAST WEEK FOR CHURCH VIEW SENIOR RESIDENCES

Groundbreaking ceremonies were held last week for the Church View Senior Residences in Mt. Pleasant Township.  The Trib reports that the affordable senior housing units will be located on a two-acre portion of land next to St. Florian Parish.  The project is fully funded with money from the housing authority, the state Housing Finance Agency, Act 137 funds and the Union Mission.  On hand for the ceremonies was the family of the late State Representative Mike Reese, who was involved in the selection of the site and planning of the residences before he passed away in 2021.
