A man from New Mexico is in custody after police found him with about 17 pounds of suspected cocaine during a traffic stop on I-70. The Trib reports that the stop was made around mile marker 78 in Hempfield. Police grew suspicious during the stop and asked to search the truck. 21-year-old Jose Jimenez admitted that there was a small amount of cocaine in the car. The bulk of the suspected cocaine in a duffel bag in the backseat. He was denied bail and taken to Westmoreland County Prison. A preliminary hearing is set for August 13th.
