A study commissioned by the Westmoreland County Chamber of Commerce is showing that an $86 million hotel and conference center adjacent to the Live! Casino at the Westmoreland Mall could bring over $700 million to the community in just 10 years. The Trib reports that local leaders hope the study could entice investors to build the facility. Westmoreland County Commissioner Sean Kertes said the county supports the effort but stopped short committing any financial resources. He suggested the county could assist in securing grants and loans for the project.
