WORK STARTING ON WESTMORELAND FOOD BANK EXPANSION

Work is starting on an expansion of the Westmoreland Food Bank.  Leaders with the nonprofit held a groundbreaking ceremony for their new volunteer center and on-site food pantry in Delmont yesterday.  The project is being funded by an American Rescue Plan Act investment of two-and-a-half million dollars and an 800-thousand-dollar grant from the USDA.  The Westmoreland Food Bank helps to feed thousands of families each year.
