TWO FORMER WESTMORELAND COUNTY NURSES SENTENCED

Two former Westmoreland County nurses were sentenced on Friday for taking photos and videos of patients and sharing them without their permission.  The Trib reports that Peter Castellano of Fineview and Melissa Tompkins of Baldwin each pleaded guilty to the accusations.  The two were fired from Independence Health System after an employee reported their actions.  The two were ordered to spend 30 days to a year in Westmoreland County Jail for misdemeanor counts of abuse of a care dependent person, while other charges were dismissed.
