An Indiana County man was killed after a large rock fell on him at a quarry in Torrance in Derry Township. The Trib reports that 61-year-old James Gershman of White Township was working in a mineshaft at the Heidelberg Materials when a large rock fell on his legs Gershman was pronounced dead at about 5:45 p.m. by Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson. The cause and manner of death are pending the results of an autopsy and toxicology testing.
