State police say someone has hacked into the Facebook Account of a Westmoreland County Common Pleas Court Judge. The Trib reports that someone was able to post on Judge Scott Mears’ page that his uncle recently entered an assisted living facility and the judge would sell personal items. The false post claimed the judge’s uncle suffers from dementia and solicited money for items including vehicles, appliances, exercise equipment and furniture. State police are investigating. Requests made directly to Meta to remove the post has been unsuccessful, Mears has been blocked from access to his Facebook page and can’t delete the posts, several of which are soliciting money.
