Preliminary hearings are scheduled for a retired Allegheny County detective accused of injecting his then-juvenile son with testosterone and provided him with Adderall to enhance his performance on the Franklin-Regional football team. The Trib reports that 59-year-old Raymond Bonacci of Murrysville faces charges in that case and in a second one, he is charged with victim intimidation and obstructing justice along with other counts that he encouraged his son to lie in the investigation. The son told investigators that he feared being cut out of his family and being assaulted by his father. Bonacci has denied any wrongdoing. No word on when the new hearings will be held.
