Renovations on the auditorium at Valley High School in New Kensington are getting underway. The local school board has approved a contract worth well over 900-thousand dollars to complete the project. Superintendent Chris Sefcheck says the upgrades are needed as much of the auditorium is original to the building, first opened in the late 1960’s. Because of the construction work, the Valley High Drama Club will not be putting on a fall show this year, and will be taking on some alternative fundraisers for the club.
