The State Department of Environmental Protection and Homer City Redevelopment heard from the public last night concerning air pollution coming from the proposed natural gas-fired power plant. Many who gave testimony during the public hearing said they were concerned about what specific air contaminants would be monitored, how data would be gathered and reported to the public, and how the chemicals would affect the health of vulnerable populations. Representatives with Homer City Redevelopment said they will do everything possible to make sure they are well within all environmental regulations.
