A member of the Homer-Center School Board is stepping away from the board for the next two months amid scandal over a social media post. At last night’s meeting, board member Misty Hunt once again apologized for a remark posted on her personal Facebook page of “one down, hundreds to go” which she said was a reference to gardening but some claimed was celebrating the death of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. She apologized again for the misunderstanding and said she wanted things to settle before the election.
