OFFICIALS LOOKING TO RAISE MONEY FOR JUMONVILLE GREAT CROSS OF CHRIST RENOVATION

Officials are looking to raise money for the restoration of the Jumonville Great Cross of Christ.  The Trib reports that the cross is located at the Jumonville Camp and Retreat Center, and its 75th anniversary was celebrated over the weekend.  The cross was created in 1950 but is now showing signs of wear and tear from the elements.  The organization has set a fundraising goal of $150,000 — half to cover the costs of the immediate restoration and the other half to provide for future maintenance.
