FLIGHTS TO FORT LAUDERDALE AND MYRTLE BEACH TO END IN NOVEMBER

The Westmoreland County Airport Authority announced that the Spirit Airlines twice-weekly flights from Latrobe to Fort Lauderdale will end for the season in November, but they will be picking up more flights to Orlando.  The Trib reports that Airport Manager Gabe Monzo said he did not know when in November the cut to Fort Lauderdale will take place, but called the two additional trips to Orlando a “big deal”  In addition to the changes to service to Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, Spirit will be discontinuing its seasonal service to Myrtle Beach, S.C., in November, but Monzo said that that cut was anticipated.
