RITE AID OFFICIALLY CLOSED

A national pharmacy chain formerly headquartered in Pennsylvania is officially closed.  Rite Aid confirmed its closed all its stores after financial struggles, bringing an end to more than 60 years in business.  Last year, the company operated over 12-hundred stores across 15 states from California to Vermont, and had planned to keep stores open and sell off assets in an effort to maintain prescription services for customers.
