STATE POLICE SHOOT SUSPECT IN INDIANA COUNTY

State police in Indiana County were involved in the shooting of a man in the Dixonville area last night.  Troopers were called out for a reported assault as the suspect fired shots in the area and set a fire inside a home.  The suspect then climbed onto the roof of the residence and armed with a shotgun, fired at Troopers on the ground below.  Troopers returned fire with one shot killing the suspect, whose name has not been released.  Local firefighters put the fire out.  The troopers involved have been placed on administrative duty per State Police policy.
