The man accused of putting a pipe bomb under his former landlord’s lawnmower has pleaded not guilty. The Trib reports that James Sever was ordered to stand trial on charges including attempted homicide, weapons of mass destruction and other crimes. Sever was missing for two months before police apprehended him on the Hoodlebug Trail in Indiana County and said that Sever admitted to the bombing after over two hours of interrogation. Sever denies the confession and several other claims made by police, saying that he was the victim. A request for bail was denied. He remains in Westmoreland County Prison.
