Charges have been filed against a New Kensington man accused of injuring a two-month-old child. The Trib reports that 25-year-old Jacob Piontek is charged in connection with an incident on September 22nd when officials were called to a home along Stewart Street for what was believed to be cardiac arrest in the child. The same day, authorities were contacted by Children’s Hospital saying the child suffered a series of seizures and possibly a stroke believed to be from a traumatic event. Officials said Piontek claimed he was playing with the child and tossing the child onto a couch from approximately five to six feet away.” He was arraigned on $50,000 bail.
