A freight company will soon come to Westmoreland County. The Trib reports that Dayton Freight has finalized the purchase of 31.5 acres at the I-70 Industrial Park in South Huntingdon, paying $1.7 million through Stream’s Edge Properties. The company plans on building a 36,000-square foot shipping cross-dock and 6000 square feet of office space, and is expected to bring 50 jobs to the area. Construction is expected to start next spring and will open in 2027.
