The man accused of setting a fire inside the Pennsylvania Governor’s Residence is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning for a plea hearing. Cody Balmer faces charges including attempted murder and aggravated arson for allegedly firebombing Governor Josh Shapiro’s home back in April while he and his family were sleeping inside. He pleaded not guilty the day after the fire and later waived his preliminary hearing and arraignment. Balmer’s mother told reporters after the fire her son struggles from mental health issues.
