MATT SOBECKI FIRE SAFETY DAY IN NEW KEN THIS WEEKEND

An education effort dedicated to a late New Kensington volunteer firefighter is planned for this weekend.  Matt Sobecki Fire Safety Day is happening in the 800 block of Barnes Avenue from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow.  Kids will learn what to do during a fire and will be able to see trucks and equipment.  Sobecki was known for teaching children about firefighters and emergencies before he lost his battle with cancer in 2023.
