State officials have fanned out to appearances across Pennsylvania to promote COVID-19 vaccinations ahead of the winter season. In Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Health Secretary Dr. Debra Bogen took her COVID shot and sought to dispel any rumors that the shots are not widely available. In fact, she said the vaccine is available and is recommended. This week, Governor Josh Shapiro signed an executive order that the state would follow guidelines provided by a group of medical associations — including American Academy of Pediatrics — instead of the CDC.
