Some school districts in Western Pennsylvania are making plans to keep kids fed as the SNAP program is set to be suspended. The Trump Administration says no additional food assistance money will be paid out for November if the federal government shutdown continues into this Saturday. Leaders with Jeannette City Schools are partnering with the United Way to provide additional meal boxes for students in their Backpack Program. Officials with Fox Chapel, Franklin Regional, and Baldwin-Whitehall school districts are working to come up with additional nutrition support as well.
