SOMERSET COUNTY SHERIFF FACES CORRUPTION OF MINORS CHARGES

Somerset County Sheriff Dustin Weir is facing a corruption of minors charge after allegedly making sexual comments to a teen.  The incident reportedly happened at a Pittsburgh-area Walmart store during a Shop With a Cop event last December.  Investigators say the 15-year-old victim was helping with the event when Weir asked her to follow him to the aisle where condoms are sold.  Weir then asked the girl if she used condoms and told her what he would do if he were her boyfriend, according to prosecutors.  An attorney who represents Weir calls the allegations “baseless”, saying the sheriff fully denies them.
