STATE POLICE OFFICIALLY RULE TRANSIENT DEATH A HOMICIDE

State police have officially ruled the death of a transient found on state game lands in Loyalhanna Township a homicide.  The Trib reports that State Trooper Steven Limani did not say how 64-year-old Robert Friend was killed.  Authorities are still trying to piece together the timeline of Friend’s movements before he was killed, and they are focusing on establishments like bars that allow smoking in the Greensburg area.  It’s unclear if the death happened at the state game lands or elsewhere.  Anyone with information should call 1-800-4-PA-TIPS.  The information could bring a reward of $2000.
