The suspect in a chase two years ago in Jeannette entered a guilty plea in court on Wednesday. The Trib reports that 36-year-old Lance Frederick was charged in connection with a chase in October of 2023 after police pulled him over. He consented to a search of the vehicle and police found hidden compartments used to smuggle drugs. Police said he drove off when they asked him to pop the hood to continue their search. Frederick was pursued through Adamsburg, where the vehicle was later found parked. While they didn’t find Frederick, they did find a stolen handgun, a substance that appeared to be cocaine and a digital scale in the hidden compartments. In that case, Frederick pleaded guilty to felony counts of fleeing from police, escape, evading arrest and illegal possession of a firearm. He also pleaded guilty to ten counts in a separate drug case in March of 2023. He will be sentenced in three months.
