Greensburg’s director of planning and development says that the majority of easements needed for the proposed Northmont flood control project have been signed, and they are working to get the signatures of four other property owners. The Trib reports that Alec Italiano says he is continuing to negotiate with two of them. Letters were sent early this year to owners of properties that would be affected by the proposed project, which focuses on an unnamed stream that runs parallel to Glenview Avenue in Greensburg’s Northmont neighborhood. The proposed project will involve the construction of culverts and U-channels along the unnamed stream that could take up to two years to complete. The work will be funded through a state grant.
