GABE MONZO TO RETIRE AS WESTMORELAND COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Gabe Monzo will retire as the Westmoreland County Airport Authority Executive Director next April.  The Trib reports that the announcement was made on Tuesday.  Monzo has served as the executive director since 2008.  He oversaw the transition of Arnold Palmer Regional airport from the small commuter airport to having Spirit Airlines operate out of there.  The board has yet to formally discuss how to replace Monzo or finalize or approve a deal that would have Monzo stay on as a paid consultant.
