ELKS LODGE IN NEW KEN TEMPORARILY SHUT DOWN

Westmoreland County DA Nicole Ziccarelli and State Police’s Liquor Enforcement Unit have filed an emergency injunction to temporarily shut down the Elks Lodge in New Kensington.  The Trib reports that this was filed after the deadly shooting on December 6th.  Ziccarelli said that the establishment has been a location of constant disturbances and violence.  The DA said as many as 32 incidents have been reported over the last three years, involving violence, guns, and fighting.  The lodge has also repeatedly failed to PLCB regulations.
