Westmoreland County Prosecutors say they will appeal the sentence for a New Kensington Man convicted in October for an assault during an Easter Egg Hunt. The Trib reports that Stacey Oneal, Jr. was ordered to serve two to five years in prison in connection with the April 2023 incident where he assaulted a 17-year-old boy and stomped his head. County Judge Scott Mears gave Oneal credit for time already served, meaning he will be eligible for parole in six months. A statement from DA Nicole Ziccarelli said the sentence was too lenient, saying they asked for a 10 year prison sentence.
