AUTHORITIES LOOKING FOR MAN IN CONNECTION WITH ATTEMPTED STABBING AND CARJACKING IN TARENTUM

Authorities are looking for man in connection with an attempted stabbing and a carjacking at a Tarentum gas station last Friday morning. Police have identified the suspect as 35-year-old Robert Matthew Harmon, of Lower Burrell. Harmon approached a man who was pumping gas into his minivan at a Marathon station and tried to stab him before getting into the van an taking off, according to officials. Investigators say they were able to identify Harmon because a person who dropped him off at the Marathon asked to see his ID before giving him a ride.
