A Vandergrift woman entered a guilty plea earlier this month to charges of child endangerment. The Trib reports that 35-year-old Heidi Beer will serve between three and 23 months in prison and three years of probation after pleading guilty to numerous counts of of endangering the welfare of children and reckless endangerment and a single court of false reports. Vandergrift police responded to an incident involving the children in July and found the home in deplorable conditions according to court documents, and one of the children mentioned they had not seen Beer in days. As part of her probation, she will serve three months of electronic monitoring in the same residence and environment that her children were found in.
