DERRY TOWNSHIP MAN IN CUSTODY

A Derry Township man is in custody on allegations of sexually assaulting a child.  State police were notified on December 18th when a 13-year-old girl was reported missing in Summit Township, Somerset County.  Authorities said that Eric Ferrenberg picked her up after meeting her on Snapchat.  She was found days later at his home in Derry Township, where she reported that she was sexually assaulted.  Ferrenberg is currently being held in the Westmoreland County Prison on charges related to statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors.
