HEMPFIELD OFFICIALS STILL IN TALKS WITH MENARDS

Hempfield Township officials say they are still in talks with corporate leaders at Menards on a new store along Route 30.  Township Manager Aaron Siko says a site plan that was approved for the development expires after today, but extensions can be granted.  The home improvement retailer first submitted documents for the proposed store at the former Ramada and Westmoreland Athletic Club sites back in 2020.  Menards is based in Wisconsin and is the third-largest home improvement chain in the nation.
