Export is looking to move a helipad for emergency transport to a new community park. The Trib reports that the new helipad will be at the J.M. Hall, Jr. Community Park behind the PNA Polish Club and the former Tin Shoppe. Those plans still are in the works, but, for the time being, borough officials are looking to shift some infrastructure to part of the property. The old helipad near the former Export fire hall is being ruled out as the property was sold to Murrysville Christian Concern Friends Thrift Shop, and with the property being busy, the lot cannot be used for the emergency helicopters.
