FORMER PA PROSECUTOR INVOLVED IN TWO HIGH-PROFILE CASES DIES

The Pennsylvania prosecutor in two high-profile cases is dead.  Joseph McGettigan the Third passed away on New Year’s Eve at the age of 76.  McGettigan gained publicity in 1997 as the lead prosecutor in the murder case against millionaire John du Pont.  He went on to secure a conviction against former football coach Jerry Sandusky in the Penn State sexual abuse scandal.
