A jury is expected to begin deliberations today in the case of two parents accused of leaving their children to live in deplorable conditions. The Trib reports that during trial yesterday, Jeremiah Roberts testified that he was confined to the first floor of the home the children were in after a major foot injury and did not see his children the day police found them. He is charged along with his now former girlfriend, Felicia Dugan, with child endangerment and other crimes. Closing arguments are expected to be heard this morning.
