PENNDOT PREPARING FOR SEVERE WINTER STORM

PennDOT is getting ready for the anticipated severe winter storm that is going to hit our area this weekend.  The Trib reports that District 12, which serves Westmoreland and three other counties is getting ready to deploy its full arsenal of 200 trucks to take care of the 3,627 miles of state road in the region.  Drivers are assigned specific routes with I-70 and i-79 being priorities.  Municipalities are also gearing up for the storm by getting their plowing efforts ready.
