More cold conditions are expected this week. The National Weather Service has an extreme cold warning in effect for this morning until 11:00 AM, and a cold weather advisory will start tonight at 7:00 PM and will run until 11:00 AM Wednesday. Wind chills between -10 and -25 are expected during both time periods, and that could result in frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Extended freezing temperatures could also cause ruptured water pipes. People are advised to dress warmly, take steps to prevent water pipes from freezing, and to keep pets indoors as much as possible. The cold weather is also triggering closures and delays.
