Senator John Fetterman says he expects another partial government shutdown as Friday’s deadline to fund the Department of Homeland Security approaches. The Pennsylvania Democrat made the comment on Fox’s “Sunday Morning Futures.” The DHS is operating off a two week stopgap funding bill as lawmakers negotiate reforms to immigration enforcement operations. Democrats want to tighten warrant requirements and ban federal agents from wearing masks, while Republicans are pushing to target so-called sanctuary cities across the U.S.
