BURRELL HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL COACH FACES EMBEZZLEMENT ACCUSATIONS

A Burrell High School basketball coach faces accusations of embezzlement from Montgomery County.  The Trib reports that 40-year-old Michael Fantuzzo is accused of stealing over $246,000 during his time as volunteer treasurer of the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association.  Detectives in Montgomery County say the allegations came out when a new board of directors for the nonprofit began a review of finances and found questionable payments and withdrawals between May of 2021 and last September.  Fantuzzo is currently suspended from coaching, and assistant coaches will take over the duties as the team goes into the playoffs.
