One person was hospitalized after a shootout with police in Lower Burrell Saturday night. The Trib reports that the standoff started at 6:30 PM on Rodgers Drive as a man fired shots into a nearby home. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Jordan Lindner, fired the shots and went into his home When police got there, he went outside and began yelling at police, including a plea to “just shoot me,” according to statement released by Lower Burrell police late Saturday. Westmoreland County SWAT was summoned to the scene and over the three hour standoff, SWAT and Lindner exchanged gunfire. He was struck by a bullet from the SWAT team and taken into custody. No officers were injured.
