A former Greensburg police officer who was sentenced to serve probation for federal drug crimes was ordered to repay her pension. The Trib reports that the police pension commission approved findings of fact conclusions of law and decision regarding the forfeiture of pension benefits paid to Regina McAtee. Federal prosecutors accused her and former chief Shawn Denning of ordering and paying for meth pills from suppliers online between 2020 and 2023. McAtee’s attorney announced an intent to appeal the decision, saying her debt to society was paid through her federal court sentence, and the forfeiture is a violation of Pennsylvania law.
