Officials in Irwin Borough are continuing to look at options on reopening the closed Colony Drive bridge. The Trib reports that officials learned at their meeting last night that prices changed on installing a temporary bridge that would serve until the borough finds the funding for a more permanent fix. Irwin Borough cannot turn to PennDOT for assistance for either a temporary or a permanent bridge as it is not owned by the state. They are looking at other funding sources including federal funding for the projects.
